V2X is a term that describes the communication of information between a vehicle to any other entity, including vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-devices (V2D), vehicle-to-infrastructures (V2I), and vehicle-to-pedestrians (V2P).

Utilizing user authentication and data encryption technologies, AutoCrypt V2X secures all sensitive information of the vehicle and the owner during these communication processes.

- Encryption and digital signature help secure the basic safety messages (BSMs) between on-board units (OBU) and roadside units (RSU)
- Support for IEEE Standard for Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (1609.2)
- AutoCrypt LCM is a local certificate manager that is installed in the on-board unit (OBU) to manage the certificates approved by AutoCrypt PKI
