About ETSI C-V2X PLUGTESTS

Organized by ETSI and 5GAA, the 3rd C-V2X PLUGTESTS is a C-V2X testing event that assesses the interoperability between onboard units (OBU), roadside units (RSU), and public key infrastructure (PKI) across a wide range of hardware and software suppliers.

Since C-V2X involves an entire ecosystem of participants, having each individual vendor test out their devices separately does not fully ensure that all units can function well together during actual deployment. The week-long event provided an opportunity to test C-V2X devices, in both lab and field environments at the DEKRA site. This event allowed testing in the ITS ecosystem under real-life conditions from infrastructure to applications in vehicles, thus demonstrating interoperability of C-V2X equipment.

AUTOCRYPT's Role

AUTOCRYPT participated in the ETSI C-V2X PLUGTESTS as a PKI vendor. Since the event this year focused on testing ITS Security features (EU ITS Security Policy and EU ITS Certificate Policy) to support the industry in the C-ITS deployment in the common single European trust domain – AUTOCRYPT played an essential role as a trusted provider during the testing of interoperability of different PKIs, C-ITS equipment based on European standards.
