About SAFIR Netzwerktreffen

The SAFIR research partnership is based in Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI), a public university of applied sciences located in Ingolstadt, Germany. SAFIR connects the university to more than 20 organizations and institutions, with the goal of enhancing safety in mobility.

SAFIR Netzwerktreffen is a network meeting on “Security and Safety in Automotive Software Development and Electromobility”, held on campus at THI on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The event consists of network sessions, presentations, and discussions centered around safety and security considerations for vehicle connections, as vehicles undergo a transition to electromobility.

AUTOCRYPT's Role

AUTOCRYPT’s Director of In-Vehicle Systems Security R&D Center, Kiho Joo, presented at the event. His presentation covered AUTOCRYPT’s proprietary cybersecurity testing framework for EV charging environments (STEVE), focusing on the implementation of countermeasures for potential cybersecurity threats in accordance with ISO 15118.

Based on AUTOCRYPT’s years of experience in establishing cybersecurity systems for electromobility charging platforms like Hyundai Motor Group’s E-pit, STEVE is a helpful framework for many OEMs, Tier 1s, and charge point operators to apply e-mobility applications like Plug&Charge (PnC).
